Lead Buyer/Planner (production planning or purchasing exp. req.) Description
Our client, a machining company in Oak Creek, is searching for a Lead Buyer/Planner to join their Team. They just celebrated their most profitable year and have added this position to support their General Manager as their business continues to grow. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting production activities through job creation, planning, and purchasing of raw materials. Because our client is smaller with less projects going on at once (typically <10 purchase orders weekly), this will be a dual role where you’ll split your time between procurement and capacity planning. For that reason, they’re open to candidates with either a production planning or procurement background. Any gaps in experience will quickly be lessened by a very hands-on onboarding process. Candidates who enjoy more versality in their day and less routine would be an excellent fit here. You will have the stability of their parent company that has been in business for over 50 years. Although the industry is classically industrial, their President has given a fresh perspective that has energized their Team in ways that not only impact the bottom line and profitability but overall employee morale. If you pride yourself on your intellectual curiosity and your desire to expand your scope of work, this could be an excellent partnership that offers both work/life balance and career engagement.
