This position is needed to help the CDXP Engineering team (Customer and Developer Experience Platform) build and maintain the communications platform, used by thousands of customers worldwide to communicate through various channels. A successful candidate is passionate about designing, developing, deploying and operating software solutions at scale, self-starter, embodying a growth mindset, and wants to help Twilio deliver the best user experience for next-generation communications.

In this role, you'll:

• Develop and maintain software, contributing to the overall success of CDXP
• Work with a small and collaborative team, whiteboarding ideas, building backend services, and APIs
• Perform thorough and thoughtful code reviews to help maintain a high standard of code quality
• Support production operations, building, releasing and assisting with team on-call
• Craft clear and concise documentation

Required:

• 3 years of engineering experience with Go
• Some experience using NoSQL databases like DynamoDB
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, including containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience

Desired:

• Prior knowledge and experience with Java and Spring Boot applications.
• Polyglot developer with the ability to work across multiple programming languages and frameworks as needed.
• Experience using relational databases

This role will be remote but is not eligible to be hired in San Francisco, CA, Oakland, CA, San Jose, CA, or the surrounding areas.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

• Based in Colorado or Washington D.C. : $112,320.00 - $140,400.00 USD
• Based in New York, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $118,960.00 - $148,700.00 USD.
• Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $132,160.00- $165,200.00 USD.
• This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
