Food Service Employee
I. Qualifications
A. High School Diploma/GED preferred.
B. One (1) year directly related experience required, preferably in an institutional setting.
II. Organizational Relationships
A. Reports to the Food Service Supervisor and in his/her absence, the Food Service Coordinator.
B. Interacts with all staff and residents.
III. Description of Key Responsibilities
General Summary: Under close supervision, prepares and cooks or assists in the cooking of food using specialized equipment. Serves and distributes food. Cleans kitchen, kitchen equipment, and cafeteria areas. Performs inventory control duties.
1. Performs duties related to the cooking, preparation, and storage of food and beverage items following safe food handling practice.
2. Performs duties related to the serving and distribution of food.
3. Operates and maintains food service equipment and uses supplies appropriately.
4. Maintains a safe, clean, and sanitary work environment. Performs cleaning duties including washing and sanitizing pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc. Cleans tables and chairs.
5. Performs inventory control duties.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $11.00 per hour
