Position Title: Co-Occurring Admissions Counselor Supervisor
Department: Front of House (FOH)
Reports To: Clinical Director
Classification: Full-Time, Exempt
Position Overview:
The Co-Occurring Admissions Counselor Supervisor plays a vital role in overseeing the admissions process for individuals seeking treatment for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. This position ensures the effective coordination of admissions, the quality of client assessments, and the delivery of client-centered care. The supervisor provides leadership to the admissions team, ensuring compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Admissions Process Oversight:
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the admissions team.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of client intakes, assessments, and admission documentation.
- Conduct quality reviews of clinical assessments and client records to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Staff Supervision and Development:
- Train, mentor, and evaluate admissions counselors in best practices for co-occurring client care.
- Facilitate team meetings and individual supervision sessions.
- Promote a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Client Engagement and Assessment:
- Support staff in conducting thorough assessments for substance use and mental health disorders.
- Provide direct assistance in complex cases or when additional clinical expertise is required.
- Ensure assessments align with ASAM Level 2.1 standards and treatment recommendations.
Regulatory Compliance and Documentation:
- Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., Minnesota 245G standards).
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation within required timelines.
- Oversee adherence to confidentiality standards under HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
Program Coordination:
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director and interdisciplinary team to enhance program operations.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Act as a liaison between admissions staff, external referral sources, and internal clinical teams.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to admissions.
- Provide regular updates and reports to leadership regarding team performance and program outcomes.
- Identify and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:Education:
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field required.
- Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or equivalent credential preferred.
- Mental health licensure (e.g., LPCC, LICSW, LMFT) preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a behavioral health setting, with a focus on co-occurring disorders.
- At least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role in admissions or client services.
- Experience working within ASAM Level 2.1 IOP or similar treatment settings is strongly preferred.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of co-occurring disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and documentation standards.
- Leadership ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Certifications:
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced office and clinical setting with frequent interactions with staff, clients, and external partners.
- Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required to meet program needs.
Compensation and Benefits: 65K-70K PLUS quarterly BONUSES BASED ON KPIs
