Job Overview
TCH is currently looking for a Door and Door Hardware Installer to join our Service Team at our Phoenix branch; this person will perform installs and replacements for our customers in the Phoenix, AZ area. Our customers have come to expect flawless service from TCH.
Essential Job Functions
- Review assigned work order and pick up needed parts from TCH warehouse
- Work independently to perform installs and/or repairs, troubleshoot issues
- Check in and present overview of work with customer on site
- Accurately fill out work log daily
- Schedule service installation (coordinate with Branch Mgr as needed)
- Coordinate and communicate with customers, Warehouse Mgr and Sales group on new or existing work orders
- Manage entire work order / project to ensure successful completion
- Attend internal and external training to increase product knowledge of the door and hardware industry
- Keep Branch Manager informed of performance or attendance issues
- Travel to customer sites driving a company vehicle
- Other duties as assigned
Skills Requirements
- Experience with technical service of advanced mechanical hardware, doors, and frames, preferred
- Understanding of keying and key schedules, preferred
- Basic welding skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills with all levels of the company and customers
- Advanced experience with hand tools (hammer drill, power drill, measuring tools, circular saw, etc)
- Advanced knowledge of industry terminology and nomenclature, preferred
- Motivation to continue increasing knowledge needed to perform job effectively
- Must be able to travel and stay overnight if necessary
- Experience with computer software in a Windows/ Google based environment
- Favorable results from customer’s background check
- Valid driver’s license and favorable results from company background check including Motor Vehicle Record
- Favorable results from a pre-employment physical and drug screen
Working Conditions
This position involves traveling to customer job sites in all weather conditions. The majority of the work day is spent on your feet. Involves; bending, squatting, reaching overhead, push/pull, ladder climbing. Lifting up to 50lbs regularly, 50lbs occasionally.
