Procurement Specialist

Summary: We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to work alongside our team, focusing on forecasting and purchasing of finished goods. This role requires someone who is intellectually curious, passionate about working in spreadsheets, digging into data, and finding the right answers to improve our supply chain efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable making data-driven decisions.

This position will work closely with senior leadership, production teams, and suppliers to ensure we maintain optimal inventory levels, avoid stockouts, and minimize excess inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

· Demand Forecasting: Analyze sales trends, historical data, and market insights to create accurate demand forecasts.

· Purchasing & Inventory Management: Determine purchasing needs and execute purchase orders for finished goods to maintain optimal stock levels.

· Data Analysis: Work in spreadsheets to evaluate inventory turnover, sales velocity, and forecast accuracy, making adjustments as needed.

· Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with sales, production, and logistics teams to ensure alignment between demand planning and supply availability.

· Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in forecasting and purchasing and recommend process improvements.

· Supplier Coordination: Communicate with suppliers to track orders, manage lead times, and resolve any supply chain issues.

Qualifications:

· Strong analytical skills and love working in spreadsheets

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.

· 1-3 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or procurement (internship experience considered).

· Proficiency in data analysis, including formulas, pivot tables, and forecasting models.

· Ability to interpret large datasets and make strategic recommendations.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Excellent communication skills for working with internal teams and suppliers.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and sit approximately 80% of the time, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and ability to see color.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is mainly located in an office environment but will regularly be exposed to work near and on the production floor. The employee may occasionally be required to work in our manufacturing environment.

The noise level in the work environment may occasionally be loud.
