What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Pharmacy Technician position at Twin City Pharmacy & Surgical?

Essential Functions:
- Assist Pharmacist with input (when appropriate), filling and dispensing of prescriptions;
- Perform all filling of prescriptions with accuracy and reasonable speed;
- Fill prescriptions per rules and regulations of all regulatory entities;
- Answer telephone calls, assist caller when appropriate, or enlist Pharmacist to assist if appropriate;
- Prepare medications to be delivered per delivery schedule;
- Assist any walk-in customers or direct to appropriate department;
- Assist with ordering of medications from wholesaler along with proper inventory management;
- Assist with Medication Returns management;
- Maintain Pharmacy Technician License/Certification;

- Minimum 3 years retail pharmacy experience
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment such as calculators, copy machines and printers up to 100% of the time;
- Regularly required to talk and hear in order to communicate effectively over the phone and in person;
- Must be able to see 100% of the time to recognize medications, detect inaccuracies, and observe the work of others with or without correction;
- This position is very active and requires standing for long periods, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching and stooping;
- Must be able to tolerate normal office/pharmacy environment and exposure to various medications
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
