CNC Machinist Job Description
Seeking a skilled CNC machinist for our 1st shift positions specializing in lathes and turning operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes for turning operations
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and equipment
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional specifications
- Maintain accurate records of production and machine maintenance
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist, specifically with lathes and turning operations
- Strong understanding of CNC programming and G-code
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in machining
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
