Position Summary:
The Medical Laboratory Technologist performs blood collections and other specimens using aseptic technique.
Training and Continued Education
Opportunities for further education and training are available to our employees.
Minimum Education
- Has earned an associate degree in laboratory science or medical Laboratory technology from an accredited institution; and have at least one year of laboratory training or experience, or both, in high Complexity testing; or
- Achieved a satisfactory grade as a medical technologist in a proficiency examination approved by HHS, and after qualifying as a laboratory technologist has had at least one year of pertinent full-time laboratory experience; or
- Has earned a bachelor degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution; and have at least one year of laboratory training or experience, or both, in high complexity testing.
- BLS preferred.
