•Greet and assist all walk-in visitors and answer incoming calls, directing inquiries to the appropriate department or staff member.
•Provide general information to the public regarding property records, exemption forms, assessment processes, and department procedures.
•Maintain and organize property record files; file documents and correspondence daily to ensure accuracy and completeness.
•Assist with the preparation and assembly of appraisal records and other assessment-related documents.
•Receive, distribute, and send emails and faxes as necessary.
•Perform basic data entry, copy requests, and document scanning as needed.
•Provide administrative support to department staff to help meet statutory deadlines and service objectives.
•Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
•Perform other duties as assigned by the Assessor or Chief Deputy.
QUALIFICATIONS
•High school diploma or equivalent required.
•Experience in administrative support or receptionist duties, preferably in a public service or government setting.
•Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), email systems, and standard office equipment.
•Accurate typing skills (minimum 30 words per minute).
•Experience with data entry and operating a 10-key calculator.
•Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work under occasional pressure from deadlines or difficult interactions.
•Professional demeanor, dependable attendance, and a team-oriented attitude.
