Therapeutic Recreation Assistant Durham CT

We are a privately owned 44 bed Skilled Nursing Facility located in Durham CT. We are seeking an individual to join our team and assist with recreational activities and visitation with our residents and their loved ones. The individual should have experience in long term care or Healthcare and be able to perform tasks independently. The hours for this position will vary based on the needs of the facility. We are seeking an individual who can provide hours on the Thursday, Friday and some weekends. Schedule can be flexible to a degree. Some of the tasks may include:

Organizing small group activities at the direction of the Recreation director.

Set up and Cleaning up before and after activities

Providing one to one activities with residents

Coordinating and conducting outdoor visits with the residents and their loved ones.

Performing and assisting residents with performing hand hygiene and ensuring proper infection control procedures.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
