What are the responsibilities and job description for the Toddler Teacher position at Twin Oaks Child Development Center?
We are looking to add to our team of AWESOME teachers. We are looking for a teacher qualified candidate to work with our 2 year olds.

-Must be available between the hours of 7:45 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday.
-Ability to work as part of a team
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal -- with staff members and families
-Ability to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lay, or carry up to 50 lbs. continuously
-Ability to maintain a light-hearted temperament, even during stressful situations
To be Teacher Qualified you must have one of the following:
-At least one year of qualifying teaching experience as a teacher in a certified child care center or comparable group care program caring for infants and/or toddlers or preschool -- School age children
-Completion of 20 semester credits or 30 quarter credits of training at a college or university in the areas of Early Childhood Education or Child Development
OR
-a one year state or nationally recognized credential related to preschool age care
OR
-completion of 10 semester credits or 15 quarter credits of training at a college or university in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
AND
-at least six months of qualifying teaching experience in a Certified Child Care Center or comparable group care program caring for infants and/or toddlers or preschool age children
OR
-Documentation of attaining at least step 8 in the Oregon Registry
Fully Qualified Teachers must also have the following:
* CPR/First Aid
* Food Handler's Certification
* Current enrollment in the criminal history registry
* Documentation of completion Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect
Daily Responsibilities Will Include: (you will assist with the following)
-Implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans
-Facilitate circle time activities
-Help children with their daily projects
-Keep children safe during all of our activities
-Complete school chores (cleaning bathrooms, sweeping, taking out trash, etc.)
-Complete daily forms (daily sheets, portfolios, observations forms)
Compensation: Paid Development Training including CPR/ First Aid/Food Handlers, Employee discount, Paid time off (1 week in August and 2 weeks at Christmas/New Years) additional Holidays and Snow Days, Paid Sick time
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
