Job Overview:
The Chemical Application Specialist is responsible for safely and effectively applying fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other turf and ornamental treatments to maintain healthy landscapes. This role plays a key part in ensuring the quality and aesthetic of our clients’ properties while adhering to environmental and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply chemical treatments to lawns, trees, shrubs, and other landscape elements based on property needs and seasonal requirements
- Identify and diagnose pest, weed, and disease issues; recommend and implement appropriate treatment plans
- Mix, load, and apply chemicals using proper equipment and personal protective gear
- Maintain accurate records of chemical use and application schedules in compliance with local/state regulations
- Calibrate equipment and ensure safe handling and storage of all chemicals
- Collaborate with landscape crews and management to coordinate application schedules and client needs
- Provide exceptional customer service by educating clients about treatment plans and results
Qualifications:
- Experience with chemical application in landscaping, turf management, or a related field preferred
- Strong understanding of plant health, pest identification, and chemical safety
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
