Job Description:
Twin Oaks Materials and Supply is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team. As a key part of our sales team, you'll be responsible for assisting customers, processing transactions, and ensuring smooth operations within our landscape yard.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet and assist customers with their product needs, offering advice on landscape materials such as soil, mulch, gravel, stones, plants, and more.
- Sales Support: Help customers locate products, answer questions, and make recommendations based on their landscaping projects.
- Cashier Duties: Process transactions accurately using the POS system, handle cash, credit, and debit card payments.
- Inventory Management: Assist in stocking shelves, organizing products, and maintaining an organized yard and store environment.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of products and services offered by Twin Oaks Materials to ensure informed recommendations.
- Problem Solving: Address any customer issues or concerns and escalate them as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail, sales, or cashier roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of landscaping materials and products is a plus but not required—willingness to learn is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle cash and perform basic math.
- Physical ability to lift and move items as needed (for example, bags of mulch or rocks).
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment, including exposure to various weather conditions.

- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
