Job Title: Delivery Driver for Landscape Materials

Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week, 8 hours/day)

Location: 4334 Savannah hwy, Ravenel SC 29470

Job Summary: We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Delivery Driver to join our landscaping company. The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver landscaping materials, including soil, mulch, gravel, plants, and other products, to various job sites in a safe and timely manner. The ideal candidate should have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and be comfortable working in an outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Material Delivery: Safely drive company trucks to deliver landscaping materials to customer job sites or company locations. Materials include soil, mulch, rocks, plants, and other landscape products.
• Loading and Unloading: Load and unload materials from the truck, ensuring everything is securely placed to prevent damage during transit.
• Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service when delivering materials, ensuring customers are satisfied with the delivery process and on-time service.
• Route Planning: Plan efficient delivery routes, taking into account traffic, weather conditions, and job site locations to ensure timely deliveries.
• Truck Maintenance: Ensure the vehicle is well-maintained, clean, and ready for use each day. Report any issues with the truck to the supervisor in a timely manner.
• Inventory Management: Assist with inventory checks and loading materials according to job orders. Make sure the correct materials are delivered as per the order.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all traffic laws and safety procedures while driving. Wear appropriate safety gear and ensure safe delivery practices on job sites.
• Assisting the Team: When not delivering, assist with unloading or organizing materials at the company’s warehouse or job site.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous delivery driving experience is preferred, especially in a similar industry (landscaping, construction, etc.).
• License: Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred, but not required).
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 50 lbs or more), as some materials may be bulky or heavy.
• Communication: Strong communication skills to interact with customers and coworkers.
• Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and complete tasks on schedule.
• Work Environment: Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable & Dependable: Punctuality and dependability are key traits in this role.

Schedule:

• Full-time, 40 hours per week (typically 8 hours per day)
• Monday through Friday with occasional overtime based on business needs.
