What are the responsibilities and job description for the Furnace Operator position at Twin Resources LLC?
Twin Resources is currently recruiting for Furnace Operators for both 1st and 2nd shift for our customer in Springfield, Ohio. These are permanent opportunities working either 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. or 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Responsibilities:
- Load/unload parts from furnace.
- Ability to identify all parts, verify part numbers, and production numbers (will have material to reference). Ensure loads are processed at specified time and temperature.
- Recognize if paperwork is incorrect and follow appropriate procedure.
- Work with all operators to ensure 5S completions rates are above 90%.
- Document all discrepancies (PMCF, PC Chart- ensuring part number and process times match)
- Understand and follow the Production Control Chart, ensure all checklists/preventative maintenance required are completed for the day
- Communicate changes in procedures to the lead operator or department manager
- Utilize different software programs to report maintenance repair requests, record work observations (safety/cleanliness), and reference work instructions
Required Experience:
- 3 years of furnace operations experience
- Good work ethic
