Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician for our customer in Springfield, Ohio. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in maintaining and repairing equipment within a manufacturing facility. This role requires proficiency in electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics and PLCs. The Maintenance Technician will ensure that all machinery operates efficiently and safely while minimizing downtime.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter.
- Collaborate with other technicians and staff to address maintenance needs in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working in the manufacturing facility.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment as required.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintenance roles, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in machinery operation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting issues.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- A background in military service is a plus but not mandatory.
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
