Job Title: NDT Technician – Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled NDT Technician to perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) on engine components, with a focus on Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI). This role is for one our customers in Elkhart, IN and ensures parts meet acceptance criteria and adhere to regulatory and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Non-Destructive Testing, primarily using Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection techniques.
- Interpret and apply FAA regulations and guidance materials.
- Evaluate components for conformance to specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Assist in inspections using additional NDT methods; X-Ray inspection experience is a plus.
- Follow written instructions, engine manuals, and established procedures.
- Utilize basic Microsoft Office tools for documentation and reporting.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- NDT Level 2 certification in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection is required.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Prior experience with NDT methods, particularly in aviation component repair.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Strong understanding of materials and material identification.
- Good organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to read and use both imperial and metric tape measures.
- Proficient in basic computer use.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 42 per week
