Custodial Specialist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaning technician for contract help. We have multiple floor jobs in March and April planned. This will be a temporary position that could convert if there is interest on both sides. Will pay up to $21/hr based on cleaning experience. Times will vary from starting at 2pm to starting at 8pm and going as late as 4am to get the job done.

Duties

• Operate a 175 Rpm Swing Machine
• Carry out carpet cleaning procedures using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Execute floor care tasks such as buffing, mopping, and waxing to maintain the appearance of flooring.
• Dispose of waste materials in accordance with environmental services standards.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment issues.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Skills

• Experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred.
• Knowledge of carpet cleaning methods and floor care techniques is an asset.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Good organizational skills to manage time effectively while completing tasks.
• Familiarity with environmental services practices is beneficial.
