What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Trailer Technician - Day Shift - JOIN OUR TEAM TODAY position at Twin State Trailers?
The Lead Trailer Technician is responsible for leading a team or trailer mechanics as well testing, servicing, and repairing all makes and models of trailers.
- Works with management and customers to prioritize and assign work to meet customers' needs
- Cleary communicate open work orders to technicians
- Coach and mentor, our team of trailer mechanics
- Ensure quality, compliance, and safety standards
- Works with Service Manager to keep shop stocked and properly tooled and all tools are in proper working order
- Process final paperwork such as PM Sheet, Annual Inspection Sheet, PD Sheet, and of Job Report
- Assist in all repairs that are in the shop to make sure repairs are made correctly and that all repairs are of high-quality workmanship.
- Works with Service Manager to ensure monthly shop safety meeting is held with all employees
- Possess ability to read and understand instructions and prepare written reports
- Manages effective employee productivity to ensure job knowledge is sufficient
- Meet and exceed customer satisfaction
- May be required to be on-call as necessary
- Take on Service Manager responsibilities when Service Manager is not available
- Other duties and tasks as required by supervisor
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
