Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in guiding individuals towards personal and professional growth. This position involves working closely with diverse populations, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, to provide mentorship, training, and support. The Coach will be responsible for fostering an inclusive environment that promotes learning and development.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one training as needed until individual learns job requirements and can meet production needs independently. Work alongside individuals and lead by example.
- Complete evaluations and carry out programs as outlined in the individuals PCSP.
- Will be liaison between Individual and employer and maintain positive relations/image for TVDSI with employer.
- Meet any OSHA requirement that may be enforced in any of the independent job sites.
- Assist client in performing safety regulations that may apply in job sites. If client is unable to perform such duties, the job coach will be responsible in seeing that the duties are carried out to meet all set regulations.
- Will remain a resource for employer to contact if problems or needs arise.
- See that appropriate records for work completed, are turned in.
- Oversee that the job sites run smoothly and function properly while meeting production commitments.
- Participate in all appropriate in-service training and staff meetings.
- Always stress our clients' abilities, not their disabilities.
- Other duties as assigned by the Supported Employment Director.
- Cooperate with the TVDSI staff and management in locating job sites, when advised.
- Help select clients that are best fitted to meet requirements of job placement.
Qualifications
- Interest in seeing that clients are placed and are successful.
- Ability and skills as required to manage an assigned job site.
- Kansas Drivers License, with a good driving record.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Background checks will be conducted post-offer/pre-employment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining records.
