Twin Med, LLC. is currently searching for an Inventory Control Specialist in our Distribution Center located in Groveport, OH.

Summary:
Under the direction of the Inventory Control Manager, the Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for all assigned tasks relating to inventory control, including but not limited to managing product or company resources, data entry, and physical movement of items. They must also recognize and resolve quantity discrepancies, work closely with DC Manager and Supervisor, address damages and Unit of Measure issues, and prepare extensive quantitative statements that help with inventory control duties. They participate in company meetings and provide recommendations on how to make inventory control responsibilities more efficient. The inventory control specialists may help with training new staff members as well.
Inventory control specialists will work in a distribution center environment and must follow strict safety rules and wear appropriate uniform and footwear. One of their main tools include a personal computer to record inventory items and access to company databases to enter updates.
Responsibilities:
Cycle Counts:
- Research, Analyze, and Reconcile all variances reported
- Random Inventory Audits
- Requests from DC, CSR, Purchasing, AP or Inventory Manager
- Identify any procedural/process trends that negatively impact inventory and communicate accordingly so proper action can be taken
- Perform necessary inventory reconciliation and adjustments for items
Damages:
- Ensure all Damaged Items are immediately adjusted out of inventory
- Properly dispose of all damages according to company procedures
Warehouse Errors:
- Rectify Receiving, Picking, and Replenishment errors in a timely fashion
- Work with DC Manager to ensure proper training given for errors found
Item Updates:
- Ensure all Item Consolidations/Separations are immediately processed
- Ensure all requests for kit creations are coordinated and completed
- Ensure new items have proper locations within 48 hours of receipt
Bin Verification:
- Update Magnets for new locations and re-located items
- Update Perm Location
- Review Order Frequency to ensure proper placement for fast moving items
- Move inventory based on bin size/turns to create efficient pick paths
Expired Items:
- All product due to expire in three months must be promptly removed
- Complete forms for return(s)/disposable of product
Vendor Returns:
- All returns should be processed in the system upon notification
- Ensure proper communication with Vendor, AP, Purchasing, and DC Manager
- Complete forms for return(s)/Disposable of product
Physical Inventory Prep:
- Ensure all preparation as assigned by Manager for Physical Inventory is followed
Other Duties:
- Attend all Inventory Control calls
- Answer Customer Service emails within 24 hours and all other emails within 48 hours
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
- Handle other duties as required and assigned by management.
- Travel may be required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma)
- Minimum 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training.
- Experience operating a forklift, reach truck, and order picker.
- Must work well both independently and in a team environment
- Proficient in the use of basic office software, such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Must have the necessary mathematical abilities to analyze and process resource allocation
Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to stand, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is required to walk, stoop, or kneel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles, and is regularly exposed to extreme heat or cold, or temperatures consistent with outdoor weather and optimizing all warehouse inventories (TwinMed/All Med/Grove), while achieving the company’s inventory service level goals. The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible in all inventory handling, workflow and warehouse functions surrounding inventory and implant supplies.
