OPERATIONS MANAGER

Twin Med, LLC. is one of the largest full-line medical supplies distributors in the United States currently searching for a talented Operations Manager in our Distribution Center located in Groveport, OH. The successful applicant will be helping to keep our distribution center operating smoothly. From training to problem solving to maintaining equipment, your work will help save lives. The Operations Manager is responsible for the operational activities of a variety of functional departments within the distribution center on the day shift ability in our medical supply warehouse. GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Responsible for the following duties including but not limited to:

• Plans, organizes, and directs warehouse and selected office functions to ensure order fulfillment with 100% customer satisfaction.
• Development of supervisory team
• Leads warehouse employees and supervisors
• Maintain a positive morale, work standards and developing teams
• Trains and manages performance of supervisors and other direct reports.
• Assertively seeks solutions at the root level of problems.
• Builds teamwork among DC management team, sales team, and employees.
• Ensures warehouse operations comply with federal, state, local and company policies.
• Controls expenses
• Ensures warehouse and equipment are well maintained and that housekeeping meets company and FDA standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist team with planning, organizing and directing warehouse activities to ensure successful day shift operations.
• Effectively lead workers and Lead persons.
• Reducing employee turnover/overtime working hours
• Experience managing, leading and developing supervisors; this is a hands on manager role with most time being spent on the floor
• Management skills – coaching and development of supervisors
• Demonstrated employee engagement skills
• Strong communications skills – open, honest verbal and written communications; ability to communicate and collaborate effectively at all levels and across all functional areas
• Computer proficiency in MS Office
• Very thorough knowledge of Operations Management
• Adept at strategic thinking and strategic business planning
• A Bachelor’s degree and experience in operations, distribution or supply chain management.
• Must be open to flexible day hours, Monday through Friday, with a typical start time of 6AM; must also be open to overtime as needed and adjusting shift based on business requirements.
• Promote and foster safety in work processes and educate employees in loss prevention, safety and OSHA policies and procedures; ensure the facility is a safe environment.
• Maintain and support housekeeping standards of the facility by coordinating and maintaining a 5/6S program. Ensures all work areas are cleaned on a daily basis and are maintained in a neat and orderly manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Requirements

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• Excellent organizational skills
• Follow up and follow through
• Experience managing budgets and expenses
• Warehouse management systems experience
• Project Management experience
• Adept at interpreting and analyzing data
• Six Sigma training or experience

EDUCATION & SKILLS

• 4-year degree
• 7 years operational experience including
• 4 years managerial experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• High energy distribution center environment
• May be required to work various shifts, including nights and days
• Some overtime required

ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, or kneel. The employee must occasionally lift up to 50-70 pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles, and is regularly exposed to extreme heat or cold, or temperatures consistent with outdoor weather while achieving the company’s distribution center service level goals.
