Twin Med, LLC. is currently searching for a SHIPPING CLERK in our Distribution Center located in La Vergne, TN. The successful applicant must be able to coordinate outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate packaging, labeling, and documentation, and maintaining shipping records.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Verify accuracy of shipping documents and arrange transportation for shipments.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets using manual labor or equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts as needed.
- Prepare shipping documents and record shipping information in systems.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy, completeness, and condition.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines for handling hazardous materials.
- Operate equipment and machinery safely, following proper procedures and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to minimize safety hazards.
- Follow proper lifting techniques and safety procedures to prevent injuries.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience in shipping, warehouse, or logistics operations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations, procedures, and best practices.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and shipping software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50-70 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods during the shift.
- Capability to bend, stoop, reach, and grasp objects while performing shipping tasks.
- Proficiency in operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical demands associated with shipping activities.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling packages and operating machinery.
Must pass a pre-employment background and drug screening.
