Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lawn Care/Fertilizer Technician to join our team. This role involves working with various tools and equipment in a landscape setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of fertilization and weed control, along with a passion for providing excellent service in lawn care and pest control. This position is essential for providing essential fertilization, weed control, and tick control applications to our client properties.
Duties
- Performs inspections of lawn, tree, and/or shrubs
- Makes recommendations for care and maintenance
- Safely utilizes and/or applies products and materials
- Applying fertilizer, treating weeds and performing other professional applications
- Keeps accurate treatment records
- Looks for and pursues sales opportunities
- Helps customers understand services provided
- Implement pest control measures to ensure the health of plants and landscapes
- Assist in sales efforts by providing knowledgeable recommendations to clients regarding services and products
- Responds promptly to requests from office
- Securely and safely maintains service vehicle, equipment, and materials
- Actively participates in learning opportunities
- Assist other production-based departments, as needed
- Work independently on various projects/tasks as assigned
- Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid Massachusetts pesticide license or willing to become licensed to apply pesticides within 90 days
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds, 8-10 hours per day
- Able and willing to work in various weather conditions for long periods of time
- Professional appearance
- Ability to work in a results-oriented environment

- Ability to work independently with little direction as well as part of a team in various outdoor conditions.
- Knowledge of pest control methods and lawn care practices is advantageous.

- Previous experience in sales or customer service is a plus but not mandatory.
