Location:
- This role will be stationed in either Thurston County, WA or Lane County, OR depending on location of employee. Employee must be able to regularly travel to both counties.
Pay Range:
- The full hourly pay range is $34.48-$51.71/hr
- We provide an additional $2.00 per hour bilingual differential for those employees who can support our members' financial needs effectively in a second language; subject to verification of strong grasp of financial terms utilizing language skillset.
Compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer of employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.
Job Overview:
This position plays a key role in managing and strengthening relationships with community partners ensuring mutual benefit and alignment with organizational goals. Coordinates a variety of community events like sponsorship benefits, fundraising events, event team, and volunteer programs, including driving participation, supporting event logistics, and securing event resources and materials. Contributes to the success of community initiatives, fosters meaningful connections, and supports the organization’s broader community. Splits time equally between community events and remote work from home.
What you’ll do:
- Develops and implements engagement plans tailored to each community partner based on their classification.
- Maintains strong, ongoing relationships with key community partners to drive mutual benefits. Attends annual stewardship meetings with community partners in alignment with their relationship classification.
- Works closely with the Marketing team to ensure all sponsorship benefits are delivered and realized.
- Coordinates and tracks the fulfillment of sponsorship benefits to ensure partner satisfaction.
- Collaborates with the Director and Community Engagement Managers (CEMs) to secure representation from the credit union at fundraising and community events.
- Assists in ensuring strong attendance and engagement at key events.
- Supports internal teams and CEMs with the planning and execution of community events.
- Attends events as needed, manages logistics, and coordinates the distribution of marketing collateral (e.g., tents, items, and supplies).
- Creates and updates event team documents, including registration forms, membership rosters, and training materials.
- Encourages and supports registered members in engaging with event team opportunities and provides periodic training to ensure quality control.
- Identifies, coordinates, and oversees volunteer opportunities for employees.
- Serves as the primary administrator for the Volunteer Portal, managing organization and inputting and validating opportunities.
- Collaborates with Marketing to promote volunteer opportunities on social media and other platforms.
- Maintains data to create monthly and annual reports for the Community Engagement (CE) department.
- Oversees procurement needs for the CE department and internal partners, including branded supplies and auction donation items. Ensures timely acquisition of event materials and donations to support community and fundraising efforts.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in community engagement, event coordination, or a related field.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools (e.g., CRM systems).
- Knowledge of and a passion for community involvement and corporate social responsibility.

Total Rewards:
This position is eligible for Full-Time Regular benefits. Employees and their eligible family members have access to a wide array of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage. Includes an option for Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance to be paid at a 100% by company for the employee only coverage. We also offer Health Care FSA (HCFSA), Health Savings Account (HSA) with employer contributions, and Dependent Care FSA (DCFSA). Employees also have access to Life and AD&D insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our 401k plan. Full-Time Regular employees accrue 8 hours of vacation and 8 hours of sick leave, on a monthly basis. Full-Time Regular hired employees also receive 11 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, 1 floating holiday, 16 hours of self-care time, and 16 hours of volunteer time (may be prorated based on hire date in the initial calendar year).
All benefits except 401k start the first of the month after 30 days of employment. Employees become eligible to contribute to 401k on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
