Floater/Teacher Assistant - Part Time

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic floating teaching assistant to support our educators in providing a nurturing and effective learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, particularly in early childhood settings, and will assist in various classroom activities, ensuring that each child receives the attention and guidance they need to thrive. Experience in childcare settings a plus.

Duties

• Ensure children are engaged in activities and safe play.
• Support behavior management strategies to foster a positive classroom environment.
• Engage with children during activities, providing guidance and encouragement.
• Supervise students during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Provide care for infants, toddlers, preschool and school aged children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Collaborate with teachers to gain ideas and strategies.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom space conducive to learning.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with early childhood development and developmental milestones.
• Strong skills in behavior management and the ability to engage effectively with students.
• A genuine passion for working with young learners and fostering their growth.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team within the childcare setting.

Pay: $10.50 - $11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
