Pastry Chef/Baker

Dessert Chef/Pastry Chef - ***This position is for individuals with specific plated dessert, working with entremets, tempering chocolate, etc. experience. Please do not apply if you do not have this experience. You will be expected to have the abilities to make mousses, glazes, pate a choux, etc, on day one.

Duties:
- Prepare a variety of desserts, and baked goods according to recipes and established standards.
- Measure and mix ingredients, roll, cut, and shape dough, and bake items using ovens or other baking equipment.
- Decorate pastries and desserts with icing, glazes, toppings, or other decorative elements.
- Ensure the quality and presentation of all pastries and desserts meet the restaurant's standards.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new pastry recipes and menu items.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Pastry Cook/chef or in a similar role in a restaurant or patisserie setting is required. *** You must have exposure and knowledge to products such as, pate a choux, cremeux, mousses, chocolate decoration, glazing entremets and working with pectins, gelatins, etc.
- Knowledge of various pastry techniques, including dough preparation, baking methods, and decorating skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of pastry orders.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
