Job Description: Events Bartender
We are seeking a skilled and experienced bartender to join our team at our high-end event space. Bartenders will be responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to guests during various events, ranging from weddings and corporate functions to galas and private parties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of mixology, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and specialty drinks, according to established recipes and customer preferences.
2. Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring that all supplies, glassware, and equipment are properly stocked and in good condition.
3. Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and providing recommendations as needed.
4. Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently, processing payments and providing change as necessary.
5. Monitor guest alcohol consumption, ensuring compliance with legal drinking age and company policies.
6. Collaborate with other staff and event planners to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
7. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of food and beverages, sanitation practices, and responsible alcohol service.
8. Assist with setup and breakdown of events, including moving furniture, setting up bars, and cleaning up after guests.
9. Stay updated on current beverage trends, new products, and industry best practices to enhance the guest experience.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall operation of the event space.
**Qualifications:**
1. Previous experience as a bartender in a banquet, catering, or upscale hospitality environment.
2. Extensive knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer.
3. Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests of diverse backgrounds.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
5. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
6. Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
7. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
8. Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe) preferred.
9. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and move quickly around the event space.
