Shingler/Laborer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Shingler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing and be proficient in various construction techniques. This role involves working with roofing materials to ensure that structures are properly protected from the elements. The Shingler will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and integrity of our projects while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install shingles, tiles, or other roofing materials on residential and commercial buildings.
• Inspect roofs for damage and determine necessary repairs or replacements.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete roofing tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate installation according to specifications.
• Perform caulking and trim carpentry as needed to ensure a watertight seal.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times to minimize risks on the job site.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Shingler or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment related to roofing tasks.
• Strong skills in caulking, trim carpentry, remodeling, masonry, welding, and fabrication are highly desirable.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand project specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy materials.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 60 per week

Compensation Package:

• 1099 contract

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Year round work
