What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter position at Two Coast Living?
As a Painter, you are essential to the property’s ability to meet its readiness and leasing goals week-to-week. You will use your strong attention to professionally paint recently vacated apartments to help prepare them for rent to new residents. The How… You get to use your one year of general maintenance experience to prepare all paintable surfaces in the unit (including patching, sanding, and priming where needed), neatly and cleanly paint prepared surfaces, and complete clean-up and touch-up work before the move-in date. Since you enjoy painting living spaces, you focus on producing a professional-level paint job in every unit. You understand how to use the tools and equipment to complete paints with minimal touch-up work and mess. Two to four hours for touch-ups and eight hours for the entire painting of a unit (depending on unit sizes and color changes) are baselines for what you like to get done in a day. You are committed to creating a safe working environment for the team and a safe living environment for our residents with a safety-first approach to everything you do. The Details…
- You will work full-time, Monday through Friday.
- While we provide equipment and supplies to complete most work orders, you must maintain your own tool kit to complete work orders. Occasionally, you may need to use either a company-owned vehicle (or your own) to move about the property or to pick up supplies off-site. Therefore, you must have a valid driver’s license to be effective in this position.
- We offer many benefits to meet your needs, including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance options. The company provides auto-enrollment in its 401(k) plan after 60 days of employment. New employees accrue 40 vacation hours in the first year and earn paid sick leave per state requirements*. Eligible employees also receive holiday pay (if working) or paid holidays (if scheduled off) for six holidays each year**.
- The Company provides at least 40 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year in states with no state mandate. **To be eligible for holiday pay, employees must have completed 90 days of employment and worked the last scheduled day before and the first day after the holiday.
