What You’ll Do

• Own the planning, execution, and completion of commercial painting projects.
• Lead and coach field teams and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Drive project profitability by managing budgets, change orders, and cost controls.
• Create and maintain project schedules to meet client deadlines.
• Build strong client relationships, ensuring open communication and satisfaction.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and ensure team accountability.
• Troubleshoot project challenges and resolve on-site issues quickly and effectively.
• Support the development of future project leaders within the team.

About the Role

The Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and successful completion of commercial painting projects. This includes managing budgets, project timelines, and quality control while ensuring a safe work environment. The role requires coordination with on-site teams and external stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget, maintaining high standards of client satisfaction and profitability. As a key leader on the team, you will mentor future project leaders and support the company’s growth and development.

What You Bring to the Table

Education

• Equivalent work experience in project management or construction may be considered in lieu of a degree. Bachelor’s degree in project management, construction, or a related field in lieu of experience.

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience managing commercial painting or construction projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading projects and teams and coordinating with subcontractors.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience managing crews, field teams, and subcontractors.
• Effective communication skills for client updates, stakeholder coordination, and internal team guidance.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong understanding of budgeting, cost tracking, and managing project profitability.
• Knowledge of construction or painting industry safety protocols and quality standards.

Other Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with contract and permit management.
• Certification in project management (PMP, CAPM, or equivalent) is a plus.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and industry-specific safety standards.
