Job Summary:
The Palletizing Staff member is responsible for labeling, sealing, packing, and stacking products for distribution, ensuring all items meet quality and safety standards. This role supports warehouse operations by preparing products for shipping in an organized and efficient manner. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and high-quality production environment. The Palletizing Staff Member must adhere to all safety protocols, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), SQF standards, and hygiene policies in coordination with the supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect all bags to ensure they are clearly labeled, properly sealed, and free of
holes or damage.
- Neatly and securely pack individual items into boxes or cases.
- Stack cases onto pallets in a stable and organized manner.
- Wrap and label pallets accurately for identification and shipping.
- Monitor and record temperatures of items, cases, and pallets as needed for food
safety compliance.
- Follow all quality control procedures and food safety guidelines.
- Load outbound trucks with finished product.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of packing and staging areas.
- Perform other warehouse or production duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with packing and labeling machinery preferred.
- Must be OSHA pallet jack certified or able to obtain certification immediately
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of related experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Physical dexterity for repetitive motion tasks.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly with or without assistance.
- Able to work in a cold prep area (35°F).
