Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Lead to join our team at Two Fish Distribution a leading seafood packing company. The Production Lead will coordinate daily production activities, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality operations in the packing plant. This role is critical in ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily activities of the production team to ensure timely and efficient production processes.
• Ensure all production targets, quality standards, and deadlines are met while minimizing waste and downtime.
• Monitor adherence to food safety standards, HACCP protocols, and company policies.
• Ensure all production employees are properly trained, adhere to safety procedures, and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock management to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Collaborate with other departments (Quality Control, Maintenance, Logistics, etc.) to ensure seamless production flow.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly and effectively to minimize disruptions.
• Maintain accurate production records, including daily production logs, and quality checks.
• Identify areas for process improvement and collaborate with management to implement solutions.
• Ensure that all equipment is operating efficiently and coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Provide input on labor schedules to support adequate staffing for shifts and peak production periods.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Production Lead in a manufacturing or food production environment, preferably in seafood or related industries.
• Bilingual in Spanish required.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control standards, and food safety regulations.
• Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or relevant certification in food science, manufacturing, or business is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a cold, refrigerated environment as well as a production floor setting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as required to meet production demands.
