Key Responsibilities :
Patient Management :
Schedule patient appointments and manage referrals effectively.
Ensure accurate patient information is documented and maintained in electronic health records.
Clinical Support :
Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as taking patient histories and vital signs, and recording this information in the system.
Prepare patients for, and assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures.
Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
Communication :
Provide bilingual support to enhance communication between patients and staff.
Educate patients on wellness, treatments, and follow-up care instructions.
Administrative Duties :
Handle insurance verifications and process billing forms accurately.
Manage inventory of medical supplies and ensure adequate stock levels.
Compliance and Confidentiality :
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
Participate in training sessions and stay updated on healthcare policies and procedures.
Experience / Qualifications :
Education :
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program preferred.
Experience :
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical assistant role, preferably in a clinical setting.
Skills :
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential, both verbal and written.
Medical Assistant Certification is preferred.
