What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Customer Service Representative position at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®?
This is a part-time role, 20-25 hours per week
Reporting to the location Operations Manager, the Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a critical role in the daily operation of the award-winning Raleigh location of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®. As the CSR, you’re the “day of move” contact for our customers at our new 30,000 sq. ft. commercial office and warehouse facility. Using our customized software platform and GPS to guide you in the process, your customer service skills, confidence, and ability to problem solve will assist the entire team in exceeding expectations before, during and after the entire move process. With a 96% referral rate, our customers have come to count on us as their relocation company of choice across the country.

- Starting pay $17 - $21 per hour (depending on experience) opportunities for commission

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Act as the main point of contact for customers before, during and after the move TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® services
- Directly and accurately input information into internal move software to update customer files as necessary
- Confirm customer's moving services, boxes, supplies and equipment and other value-added services
- Educate customers on terminology, policies and procedures, anticipated delays and any additional information needed to increase customer satisfaction and improve profitability
- Continually maintain a thorough understanding of all company products, services, pricing and promotions in order to communicate accurate information to customers
- Prepare all move-related paperwork and documents daily
- GPS monitoring of trucks and scheduling
- Track and process monthly storage fees
- Obtain customer feedback through regular follow-up calls, both during and after moves to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and proactively resolve any complaints
- Calmly and professionally handle displeased customers and provides timely feedback to management regarding customer concerns
- May assist management with scheduling and tracking of movers and drivers in accordance with move requirements
- May prepare various reports for management as well as gather research and statistics
- May prepare proposals, letters, mass mailings, and other miscellaneous correspondence
- May participate in various marketing activities including networking, direct mail and charitable move coordination
- Ensures display area is maintained in a clean and professional manner, stock brochures and box displays
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required; a college degree is preferred but not required
- A minimum of one year of customer service and/or office experience is required
- Excellent customer service skills (friendly, courteous, and helpful)
- Effective listening and communication skills
- Good grammar, voice, and diction
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively
- Accurate; consistent attention to detail
- Confidence to initiate customer contact as necessary
- Strong team player who works productively with a wide range of people and personalities
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment; able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Good computer and keyboard skills
- Able to perform basic business math
