Accounting Coordinator

Job description:

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Accounting Coordinator that will be responsible for supporting daily activities of the finance department for a residential construction company. This position will perform critical day-to-day tasks as well as provide analysis, projection, and planning of all financial activities. This role will assist the management team with budget tracking and cost control procedures and will aid in developing processes and contribute to companies overall efficiency. The role is essential in supporting our financial operations and ensuring accuracy in financial documentation.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance

·       Experience with Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word)

·       Strong verbal and written communication skills

·       Strong organizational skills

·       Focused on efficiency

·       Strong problem-solving skills

·       Ability to read and interpret financial reports

·       Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

·       Valid Driver's License required

·       Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening

·       Must have authorization to work in the United States

·       Must be willing and able to work 100% in-office

Responsibilities:

·       Manage utility payments and transfer of services

·       Manage warranty plan enrollment and payment

·       Track vendor insurance certificates and ensure adherence to requirements

·       Process vendor payments

·       Investigate and respond to vendor payment inquiries

·       Produce requests for payment of construction funding

·       Review Pos upon lot start

·       Review construction spending upon completion of construction

·       Compile journal entries for month and year end

·       Monitor and forecast cash flow

·       Review financial reporting and ensure accuracy

·       Provide customer service to vendors, investors, and accounting professionals

·       Develop and document efficient processes and procedures as needed

·       Support management in all other financial activities
