Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process.
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar using eClinicalWorks or Dentrix.
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about services and answering patient questions.
- Process patient insurance claims and verify coverage details.
- Assist with billing inquiries and maintain financial records related to patient accounts.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth office operations and effective patient care.
- Keep the reception area organized and stocked with necessary supplies.
Requirements
- Familiarity with Dentrix is highly desirable.
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus.
- A commitment to providing exceptional patient service and maintaining confidentiality.
