What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1:1 Special Education Paraeducator position at Two Rivers Supervisory Union?
Two Rivers Supervisory Union is currently seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as Special Education Paraprofessionals for elementary students in an intensive needs program in Ludlow, VT.
We are looking for a team member who has a positive attitude, and is patient and dependable. The candidates must also possess the qualities of patience, creativity, flexibility, dependability, consistency, commitment, and a desire to learn new skills. Candidates will need to have the ability to follow a detailed educational and behavioral plans income cases. The candidate will need to demonstrate collaborative skills and a willingness to engage in new learning and problem solving as a member of the educational team.
Responsibilities include:
•Observe student’s performance, and record relevant data to assess progress
•Discuss assigned duties with classroom teachers to coordinate instructional efforts
•Enforce administration policies and rules governing students
•Instruct and monitor student in the use and care of equipment and materials to prevent injuries and damage
•Supervise student in classrooms, halls, cafeteria, school yards, and gymnasiums
•Attend staff meetings and serve on appropriate committees
•Assist in bus loading and unloading
•Uphold professional standards of conduct.
•Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able & willing to work 1:1 with a student. Full time, hours will include meetings, consultations, etc.
Salary : $18 - $22
