What are the responsibilities and job description for the PCA (Personal Care Attendant) position at Two Rivers Supervisory Union?
Two Rivers Supervisory Union’s Early Childhood Special Education Program has an immediate opening for a full-time 1:1 personal care attendant to support a young child within a preschool program in Mount Holly, VT. The positions is Monday through Friday, and follow the school calendar. Additional hours during the summer may be available.
Responsibilities include communication facilitation, carrying out programming designed by the educational team, supporting and facilitating social engagement with peers, and accessing learning opportunities.
Physical responsibilities include personal care/hygiene, insuring physical safety, and participating in outdoor play during all seasons.
We are looking for a team member who finds joy in playing with and caring for young children, has a positive attitude, is collaborative, reliable, and eager to engage in new learning as part of a team.
Knowledge of early childhood development as well as prior experience with young children in preschool settings, is strongly preferred.
A fingerprint supported criminal background check and a Child Abuse/ Neglect Registry check are required.
