What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Counselor position at Two Rivers Supervisory Union?
TRSU is looking for applicants who love the outdoors, summer in Vermont, and sharing their talents and skills with youth! Do you want to build your leadership skills, spend time in the outdoors, and make a difference to a young person's life all while making some summer cash? Then working for Two Rivers as a Go Wild Camp Counselor is for you! We have openings at both the Ludlow, VT and Chester, VT locations.
Camp Counselors do this (and more):
Supervise and plan activities to enhance the healthy emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of each child enrolled at Camp Go Wild.
Help children to become aware of their roles as integral members of a group.
Have an understanding of their child's growth and development.
Supervise all activities to ensure safety at all times.
Maintain the integrity of the program and comply with all procedures set by TRSU, 21C Guidelines, and State of Vermont Childcare Regulations.
Participate in pre-camp orientation and in-season trainings
Camp Counselors must be over 18 and have a GED/HS Diploma. Applicants without these qualifications are encouraged to apply to the Junior Camp Counselor position.
