Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Interprets YMCA policies and procedures in a positive manner. Ensure all program participants are provided a safe and welcoming environment.
- Responds to all member, participant, and community inquiries and complaints within one business day.
- Ensures all program participants and families adhere to safety practices involving the summer programs.
- Manages program curriculum to give all youth involved a positive and productive experience.
- Uphold and promote risk management policies and practices through regular, documented training and evaluation within the department.
- Initiates the values and character development initiatives.
- Maintains collaborative relationships with other community organizations. Represents the YMCA in community.
- Will be expected to perform hands-on duties based on the activities planned by Camp Coordinator.
- Continues professional development as recommended by the YMCA of the USA and supervisor.

Qualifications
- One year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Current CPR, AED, First Aid for infant, child, and adult. ARC preferred.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Within 30 days of hire, completion of Bloodborne Pathogens and Harassment training.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but occasionally loud.
