Position Overview:
Two Roads Brewing Company, known for its innovative craft beers and unique event spaces, is seeking a dynamic and organized Special Events Coordinator to join our hospitality team. This role is crucial in delivering exceptional private events and creating memorable experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Preparation: Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), gather necessary supplies, and ensure event spaces are clean, organized, and ready for use.
- Weekly Coordination: Collaborate with the Events Manager and Kitchen Management to finalize BEOs, review inventory, and adjust catering plans.
- Staff Management: Act as a liaison between the event team and Two Roads Catering, leading pre-shift meetings with bartending staff to ensure smooth event execution.
- Event Setup & Execution: Oversee the setup of catering displays, arrange room furnishings, and confirm event details with the host to ensure a seamless experience. Maintain the event schedule, monitor guest needs, and provide exceptional service throughout.
- Post-Event Cleanup: Manage event breakdown, clean catering equipment, dispose of food waste, and organize wares for pickup.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in event coordination or hospitality is preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust to shifting priorities.
- Ability to maintain a positive, professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- TIPS certification or willingness to obtain certification within 30 days of hiring.
Compensation:
This position offers an hourly wage between $17.00-$17.50. In addition, the Special Event Coordinator will earn a percentage of the contract administration fee for each event, as well as a portion of the tips collected during special events. The estimated total annual compensation for this role is between $55,000 and $62,000, depending on event volume and tip distribution.
