Information Systems Security Engineer
Overview of Opportunity :
Two Six Technologies is seeking an experienced and skilled Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) with expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud-based systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong capabilities in collaborating with diverse stakeholders, ensuring compliance with information security practices, and supporting operational and security needs. This role is critical in maintaining the security and efficiency of our IT infrastructure while adhering to industry standards and regulations.
What you will do :
- Enforce the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure and trusted relationships between external systems and architectures in compliance with government requirements.
- Leverage expertise in cybersecurity policies, procedures, and workforce structures to assist in the design, development, and implementation of secure networking and computing environments.
- Conduct thorough security audits to ensure that systems comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Monitor security systems to detect and respond to vulnerabilities and threats and actively assess and mitigate security risks throughout the program lifecycle.
- Support customer accreditation processes by implementing robust Information Security practices and maintaining adherence to accreditation standards.
- Document business rules, technical capabilities, and developing quality metrics to drive operational improvements.
- Maintain and update the inventory of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software, hardware, and privileged accounts, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation of system configurations and software usage.
- Collaborate with architects and developers to integrate information security measures in alignment with agency policies and enterprise solutions.
- Contribute to security planning, assessment, risk management, certification, and awareness initiatives for system and network operations.
