A Typical Work Week
This is a full-time, in-person position for our West Des Moines office. Not open for remote work at this time.
The Web Design Director is responsible for creating and managing the culture of the web department and the process of building remarkable websites. This role will also closely work with the graphic design, copywriting, and marketing departments to deliver engaging deliverables that exceed client expectations and create real solutions. A high level of creativity, experience in website design and development, and process leadership are required for this role.

- Strategize large website projects

- Participate in the TwoTone Leadership Team
Other Responsibilities:
- Review work, troubleshoot, and provide feedback to the web design team
- Remain actively involved in hiring and training web design staff
- Ensure agency systems and processes are followed
- Oversee profitability, deliverables, timelines, and budgets
- Meet with clients or leadership team to explain strategies and solutions
- Ensure consistency in web design and development
- Design solutions both internally and for clients
- Manage the web design process from concept to completion
- Lead web design efforts
- Lead web design sessions to generate ideas
- Conduct market research
- Collaborate with other team members and departments
- Ensure visual communication and brand standards are met
- Oversee client proposals for websites
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in web design, web development, graphic design or visual communications
- 5 years of website design experience
- Previous experience in management or leadership roles
- Demonstrated strengths in web design, project management, marketing, and communications
- Experience using WordPress
- Self-starter who works well independently and in a team environment with a strong interest in graphic design
- Comfortable working with conservative Christian churches and non-profits
- Online portfolio displaying strong graphics and development skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of current web design trends and techniques
- Ability to clearly and professionally communicate visual solutions to support marketing strategies and web initiatives
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
- Positive outlook and professionalism in all aspects of daily tasks
- Uses good judgment and works with integrity
- Ability to quickly change from one project to another
- Adeptness with learning new apps and software
- Punctual and dependable
