Production Assistant

TWP is looking for a production assistant who will grow into a Production Associate. This position will assist production through the whole process, from line review (pass off) to shipment. A successful candidate will bring creative ideas to reserve improved quality, realistic timeline, and cost.

Responsibilities

·        Managing Showroom and Pre-Production garment samples: Organizing, counting, and tracking samples, and developing, ordering, and tracking each stage

·        Launch and deliver PP sample and attend fitting for approval with clear direction for production and QC team

·        Fittings: helping tech designers to arrange fit appointments per priority and the sample ready dates, and attending fittings to ensure work is completed correctly 

·        Issuing purchase orders: order data entry in PLM system and Issuing purchase orders to cutting houses, embroidery mills, and sewing factories based on information obtained during product development 

·        Monitor the accuracy of a full garment package including patterns, cutters must, BOMs and TPs in collaboration with raw material team and tech designers.

·        Communicating with vendors: Coordinating with vendors on timing and action and maintaining communication with them throughout the process.

·        Work with factories to achieve desired costing and margin goals without compromising design.

·        Tracking orders: Tracking orders from purchase order to shipment and maintaining the work-in-progress (WIP).

·        Launch and deliver TOP sample and share approvals with factories after fitting. 

·        Managing and preparing x-factory delivery with QC

·        Processing invoices

·        Administrative responsibilities, i.e. opening/sending packages

Qualifications

·        Basic garment knowledge – pattern making – preferred

·        Proficiency in PC applications including MS Word, Excel and Outlook

·        Idea about ERP system, RLM, would be a bonus

·        Midtown garment district experiences preferred

·        Excellent communication, organizational and follow-up skills

·        Adaptive personality to a multi-tasked environment
