This is a Full Time, Occupational Therapist position with a schedule Monday - Friday. No weekends or holidays!
The details:
We treat a large variety of hand, wrist and elbow diagnoses including post-surgical, trauma, fractures, dislocations, tendon lacerations, arthritis, brachial plexus injuries, and rheumatic conditions. Qualified candidates will have experience with splinting and post-surgical rehabilitation. The responsibilities:
- Deliver quality outcomes driven hand therapy services for the upper limb, including hand, wrist, elbow
and shoulder girdle - Fabricates custom-made splints and communicates with physician to ensure correct protocols
- Document with web-based software and documentation system (EMR)
- Provide accurate and timely documentation for current patient caseload and oversee compliance of department.
- Conduct patient and family education
- Display strong skills in flexibility, time management, and communication
The requirements:
- Hand Therapy Certification preferred but not required
- Three (3) years outpatient experience in treating the hand population
- Splinting experience is required as this clinic sees many post-operative patients
- Will display strong skills in flexibility, time management, leadership, and communication
- Focuses on the patient and providing the utmost in customer service excellence
