POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Accountant to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role requires an individual with extensive experience in high SKU, high-volume environments, coupled with a proven ability to drive operational excellence and support strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in lean manufacturing, cost management, and financial leadership to enhance decision-making and optimize plant performance.
- Work with the current plant Controller to prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct detailed analysis of operational costs, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
- Monitor and manage cost accounting systems, including standard costing, variance analysis, and product margins.
- Ensure the accuracy of inventory records and lead perpetual inventory audits.
- Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
- Partner with Plant Controller and Plant Leadership to identify and implement process improvements aligned with lean manufacturing principles.
- Analyze data to support decisions related to capital investments, product pricing, and operational efficiency.
- Drive projects focused on profitability, waste reduction, and value creation.
- Develop financial tools and models to improve visibility into plant performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and support cross-functional teams to align financial and operational goals.
- Assist the Controller in managing and developing the plant accounting team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the finance department.
