About the role:
The Product Manager, Incent Youth Banking role will partner and collaborate with customers, market consultants, internal development and QA teams to design and enhance youth banking services for financial institutions, their customers and their customers’ kids. You will play a pivotal role in the Incent youth banking product lifecycle management – starting from market research to client feedback, you will be responsible for product feature definition, user experience, documentation, and delivery definition. Reporting to the General Manager, Incent, you will work with outstanding engineering and design teams to develop world class products.
Apart from the necessary engineering and technology meetings, you will participate in customer and partner meetings, as necessary, to understand and define the problem product requirements and manage our product life cycle from market and customer requirements to tactical activities leading to delivery.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Carry out market research to establish a competitive landscape and market definition.
- Research potential product features in terms of — usage, best practices, relevant regulations, and fraud potential.
- Research potential partner integrations, in terms of — differentiation, customer experience, revenue potential, and speed-to-market after evaluating the fintech ecosystem.
- Develop rationale, value definition, and differentiation for product features.
- Participate in product strategic planning, backlog grooming, and roadmap definition.
- Peruse the final product, by being an internal customer to the engineering team, essentially performing Internal User Acceptance Testing and feature sign-off.
- Manage the product lifecycle from market/customer requirements to tactical activities leading to general availability, handing off delivery and support.
- Launch planning and Go-to-market strategy support.
- Drive product development across development teams (primarily Customer Support / Sales Development/Engineering and Quality Assurance) through problem definition, requirements clarifications and finalization, scope definition, and co-ordination between teams.
- Provide the sales team and the CSM team the necessary technical expertise to enable them to sell the product to new prospects and cross-sell to existing customers. This involves product documentation, demos, and, as applicable, product training.
- Coordinate and build strong working relations with various internal stakeholders, including the executive Management team, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Solution Consulting, and Quality Assurance.
- Create and monitor metrics that help you identify features and capabilities that create strong user adoption, engagement, and financial health as well as metrics that help financial institutions understand the benefits of the service.
Deliverables include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Product Requirements Document (PRD)
- Competitive analysis, product comparisons, and sales battle cards
- Prioritization of features for upcoming versions of our products in relation to vendor features and grooming the backlog
- Business case
- User stories and epics for these features
- UI/UX coordination and direction
- Participate in roadmap planning for our products.
- Documentation of features, support documentation, and delivery definition
- Beta release plan and launch planning
- Product briefing for go-to-market strategy
- Pricing models
- Marketing sheets, sales collateral, and market-facing communications
- Product training and demos
- Voice-of-the-customer surveys and product analytics
- Phasing out support for deprecated versions
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering fields; Business master’s degree preferred.
- Three to five years’ experience, preferably in Banking / Finance / SaaS / mobile related domains.
- Experience with strategic planning and product management fundamentals like developing use cases, flowcharts, and user journeys
- Ability to use LLM-based AI tools is essential
- Strong bias towards action.
- Ability to clearly communicate in both verbal and written forms
- Experience using documentation and data analysis tools
- Understanding engineering methodologies and processes like Agile development and release management
