100% employee owned GC with share scheme and projects averaging $150m.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze project drawings and documents to prepare cost estimates.
- Perform quantity surveys to determine material needs.
- Monitor and compare estimated costs to actual costs.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor quotes.
- Lead meetings with subcontractors to define project scopes.
- Supervise and train junior estimators.
- Assist with project risk and contract management.
- Examine construction sites to identify potential challenges.
- Review estimates for accuracy and completeness.
- Research and implement improved estimating methods.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in construction cost estimating.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., On Screen Take-off) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented and accurate.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
